Shia - "Can you believe Wall Street 2 was the first pick in the Q3 HFL draft?"
Michael - "Nope."It's all over, and it turned out it wasn't even close.
With the Q2 season nearly over,
Sparkling Wiggles has first place locked up by more than 100 points. It's a surprising finish to an exciting first season of the Hollywood Fantasy League.
Anyone who claims they thought "Iron Man 2" wasn't the top pick in this draft going into this season is a flat out liar. But IM2, and every other movie, got dwarfed by the juggernaut "Toy Story 3." TS3 has already grossed over $300 Million and scored a ridiculous 91 on Metacritic for a movie score of 274 to date. TS3 would have beaten any team by itself.

So, for every HFL owner other than Sarah, it's a relief to look forward to the Quarter 3 season. With no consensus #1 pick, the Q3 draft was sure to be challenging.
Ellen won the random draw for top pick, and she made an... interesting... pick, choosing "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps." I've racked my brain to figure out why Ellen made this #1 pick, and all I can come up with is that she has a massive crush on Shia LaBeouf (or maybe Michael Douglas).
Brian again chose second, and he grabbed the Leo DiCaprio thriller "Inception". Up next is the hilariously terrible "The Last Airbender" which was chosen third by Matt. TLA opened on July 1 and already has compiled a 20 on Metacritic, eliciting the following reviews:
"Surely the worst botch of a fantasy epic."
"A dull, boring, poorly acted, limply written and thoroughly unappealing fantasy, featuring bland characters locked in a struggle of no interest."
And my personal favorite:
"The Last Airbender is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented."
Good pick Telthorst.
